Swahili Coast Salt Company was founded to uplift the artisanal salt farmers of Pemba, Zanzibar by transforming a naturally harvested, all-natural sea salt into a world-class product. Through our brands ZALT and MAWIMBI, we’re building a sustainable salt industry in Zanzibar—one that creates opportunity, improves livelihoods, and celebrates the purity of the Swahili coast.

Chako Zanzibar
Chako Zanzibar is a social enterprise based in Zanzibar that transforms waste from the tourism industry, mainly glass and plastics, into beautifully handcrafted products. Rooted in the Swahili word “Chako,” meaning “yours,” we promote shared responsibility for waste while empowering local artisans, especially women. Through upcycling, community education, responsible tourism experiences, and SME support, Chako creates a circular economy that turns waste into opportunity and beauty.

Tiwani
​Tiwani Spirulina is located in Tiwi, Kwale on the pristine south coast of Kenya, East Africa. We grow ‘Arthrospira Platensis’ commercially known as Spirulina. Spirulina is a powerful, ancient and naturally occurring super-food. We also harvest, dry and pack moringa, baobab and neem. Our philosophy and aim is natural health. We are what we eat and prevention is better than cure. Our bodies are complex organic organisms and given the right inputs we can thrive, not just survive.

Art Workshops Africa
Art Workshops in Africa is a creative company based in Arusha, Tanzania that offers immersive art experiences combining painting, sketching, and wildlife-inspired creativity. Cynthia, Steve and Annie's programs encourage guests to learn artistic techniques, commission personalised artworks, and enjoy live field sketching sessions often connected with safari lodges and natural landscapes. They use art as a way to foster appreciation for nature and wildlife conservation, integrating environmental themes into their workshops and artistic outputs. They also collaborates with local and international artists and supports conservation organisations through its activities. Overall, it provides both visitors and art enthusiasts with a unique blend of African travel, artistic learning, and cultural enrichment.

They have kindly donated an Art Workshop to the festival, and we can't wait to get creative with Cynthia in the lead!
Wild Earth Botanics
Inspired by the healing power of plants and the simplicity of nature, Wild Earth Botanics offers pure, natural botanical oils and skincare blends.
They source the cleanest, locally harvested ingredients while supporting small-scale farmers.
Free from harmful preservatives, silicones, and animal testing, their eco-friendly products harness the raw, nourishing power of wild-harvested plants.

Buganzi by Manyatta
Buganzi, meaning God’s grace, was born by the shores of Tanzania where the ocean meets tradition, and nature tells stories in color and texture. At Buganzi by Manyatta, we honor these stories through handcrafted jewelry and homeware made with intention, artistry, and heart.
They are a women-led, ethical brand, creating in small batches to preserve authenticity and celebrate mindful craftsmanship. Each piece is shaped from sterling silver, brass, wood, and natural treasures gathered along the East African coastline, seaglass, porcelain, and other found elements touched by the ocean. Their designs are minimal yet soulful, inspired by the rhythms of nature and the quiet power of the ocean. Every creation carries a fragment of Tanzania while echoing the beauty of East Africa and spirit of Africa as a whole.

Mbweni Ruins
Mbweni Ruins & Gardens is a tranquil, nature-immersed hotel located just outside Stone Town, only 10 minutes from the airport. Set between a lush botanical garden, a quiet beach, surrounding mangroves, and an on-site permaculture farm, it offers a rare sense of space and calm while remaining closely connected to the cultural and social life of the city. It will serve as a gathering point for our bus transfers to and from the venue, they are catering our lunches for the journey on Thursday, and they are providing baggage storage for those who wish to explore the town before or after the festival.
BEEtopia
BEEtopia is a center for the conservation of bees through research and education. They strive to raise awareness about the crucial role bees play in our ecosystems and food production, inspiring individuals and communities to take active steps in the protection and preservation of bees. Together with stingless beekeepers they sustainably harvest high-quality honey from stingless bees – the renowned JustBEE honey from the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru.
