CATHY
Cathy is a teacher, therapist and artist working with movement, voice and music. From The Netherlands, with roots in Africa, she has over 25 years of experience in movement, body awareness and holistic wellbeing. Her work brings together yoga, movement, breath, meditation, voice, mantra and sound, grounded in her background in Exercise Therapy and years of exploring embodied and healing practices. Music is currently an increasingly important part of her work. Through voice, mantra, live music and her own compositions, she creates experiences that invite connection, expression and a deeper sense of presence.
Especially for Zanzibar Yoga Festival 2027, Cathy is creating a unique program in which these different worlds come together: from YogaDance and meditation to music, mantra and healing ceremonies, both on land and floating on the water. An invitation to move, feel, listen and reconnect.
