Breathing Better: The Science Behind It

Explore the fascinating mechanics of breath. Discover how proper breathing techniques can enhance your overall well-being and reduce stress. This interactive session will provide practical exercises to integrate into your daily routine. By the end, you'll gain a clear understanding of how breathing works and the benefits of breathwork.
Voice activation through sound healing

In this workshop you will learn the intentional use of the voice, breath and sound to regulate the nervous system and restore psycho-emotional and physiological balance.
In Cathy's approach, vocalisation and mantra repetition are integrated with gentle yoga postures, allowing sound and movement to work synergistically through the vagus nerve and respiratory system.

Scientific research shows that slow, rhythmic vocal sounds stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, supporting relaxation, emotional regulation and a sense of safety in the body. This combined practice becomes a beneficial self-regulation tool that supports deep relaxation and restorative healing on both a neurological, emotional and somatic level.

Upcycling Your Clothes with Natural Dye

Come join us for a fun workshop, learning about making fabrics with natural dyes. As part of the Yoga Zanzibar Festival, Rose will guide you through the basics of natural dyeing and how to decorate and dye your own fabric.

The workshop will include:

ART WORKSHOP: Between Tide and Breath
A Meditative Art Experience, Drawing from Nature, Spirit and Stillness

Set against the beauty of the Indian Ocean, this meditative art workshop invites participants into a quiet, intuitive creative practice inspired by nature and inner stillness. Beginning with eyes gently closed, participants draw free-flowing lines without direction or judgment, creating a grounding foundation for their work. These lines then evolve into patterns, personal symbolism, and soft color washes, guided by intuition rather than expectation. No prior art experience is needed - this workshop is about slowing down, entering a peaceful creative flow, and leaving feeling centered, refreshed, and deeply connected to both place and self.
